The capacitive sensor detects metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, wood, paper, oils, greases, water and all aqueous materials contactlessly and indicates them by means of a switching signal.
Debris buildup, material changes, etc. are indicated directly on the sensor, allowing the switching point to be readjusted if necessary. This allows early detection and correction of incipient errors and minimizes the risk of malfunctions or shutdowns.
The KI0024 capacitive sensor is always close to the point of interest. Its switching distance of 1 to 25 mm makes it suitable for virtually all mounting conditions and provides great flexibility for use in a wide range of applications.
These sensors manufactured by IFM are remarkably robust. Interference, dirt, dust, and fog from ambient air affect them as little as electromagnetic interference. They can be used in automated assembly applications.
